Privacy Policy

What this site collects, why, and your choices. There are no accounts, and bookings happen on partner websites.

Who we are

Thailand Transfer Guide (thailandtransferguide.com) is an independent travel guide run by Paweł Giżyński, a private individual, who is responsible for the personal data processed through this site (the data controller). For any privacy question or request, contact him by email.

Email: thailandtransferguide@gmail.com

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, passport, booking reference or payment details. Transfers, hotels and eSIMs are booked on partner websites, not on this site.

Choices you make while browsing, such as origin, destination, passengers or arrival time, are used to show route guidance. Some of them appear in the page address, so they can reach our analytics tools as part of a page view.

Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics counts page views for every visitor without cookies. Vercel identifies a visit with a hash of the incoming request that it discards after 24 hours, and gives us aggregated statistics such as page, referrer, country, device and browser type.

Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, measures page views and clicks on partner links. For a partner click it records the partner, route, option, button text and our link reference.

Google Analytics sets the cookies listed in our Cookie Policy only when analytics consent is granted. When consent is denied, Google tags can still send cookieless signals without identifiers, as described in Google's consent mode documentation.

Your consent choice

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Thailand, Brazil, South Korea and Canada start with analytics and advertising storage denied until they select Accept. Everywhere else it is allowed by default unless you select Reject.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. To change it at any time, select Cookie settings in the site footer; the consent banner opens again, and choosing Reject also deletes the Google Analytics cookies this site set.

Partner links

When you follow a partner link to 12Go, Agoda or Saily, you leave this site. The link carries our affiliate ID so the partner can credit the referral; 12Go links also carry a reference to the page and option you clicked.

From that point the partner handles your data under its own privacy policy, including any cookies it sets.

Hosting and email

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical request data such as IP address and browser details to deliver and protect the site.

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to handle your request.

Legal basis

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases:

Google Analytics cookies and the measurement they allow: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Cookieless measurement, meaning Vercel Web Analytics and the signals without identifiers that Google tags send when consent is denied: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages help travelers (Article 6(1)(f)).

Hosting and security data processed by Vercel, and replies to your emails: our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site and in answering you (Article 6(1)(f)).

Where data goes and how long it is kept

Vercel and Google may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Both are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland recognize as giving adequate protection to these transfers.

Vercel discards its visit hash after 24 hours. Google Analytics keeps user-level and event-level data for up to 14 months; its standard aggregated reports are not affected by that limit. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your message.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example under the EU or UK GDPR or Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time.

To make a request, email us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
